Stoll Fireplace Glass Door Enclosures

1).  There are two basic types of fireplaces; they're known as Masonry and Manufactured. This is the first thing to determine about your fireplace, as our product line is separated to follow these two categories.

  • A Masonry fireplace (shown at right) is usually built in place by a mason using some kind of brick or stone.
  • A Manufactured fireplace (shown at left) is a pre-built metal box that is installed in a desired location. It's possible for a manufactured fireplace to have a masonry (stone, brick, etc.) facade, but the internal part will still be a metal box.

2).  Determine the fireplace shape. Rectangle, Arch & Corner describe the fireplace opening shape. Fireplace openings are usually wider than they are high; and width is usually the first dimension expressed. (i.e. 38" x 30" means 38" wide by 30" high)
